Leadership and Governance

Michael joined FARO in 2019. Previously, he served as president, CEO and board member at Electro Scientific Industries Inc., a leading supplier of innovative laser-based microfabrication solutions for industries reliant on microtechnology. Michael was also president, CEO and board member at Cascade Microtech Inc., a manufacturer of advanced wafer probing, thermal and reliability solutions for the electrical measurement and testing of high-performance semiconductor devices. He holds a B.S. in electrical engineering from New Mexico State University and is a graduate of the Stanford University International Executive Management Program.

Allen joined FARO in 2019 and has nearly 30 years of global financial management experience in both hardware and software technology business. Prior to FARO, he served as vice president and chief financial officer for Electro Scientific Industries Inc., a leading supplier of innovative laser-based microfabrication solutions for industries reliant on microtechnology. Previously, Allen served as chief operating officer/chief financial officer of ID Experts, a provider of identity protection services. He holds a B.A. in accounting from Western Washington University.
